Asthma Observatory

What does the Asthma Observatory platform do?

Making good, informed decisions requires access to data.

The Asthma Observatory is a hub for data relating to asthma across the UK - helping to inform key decisions on improving the quality of asthma care in the UK.

Our goal is to aid the general public, policy makers and researchers in finding datasets relevant to understanding the burden of asthma in the UK.

This will include routine primary care and hospital datasets, datasets on the healthcare and social care costs, and datasets on asthma from the national health surveys. For asthma investigators, the data catalogue is a useful source of information on datasets relevant for undertaking clinically important research on asthma.
