We’re delighted to offer studentships for prospective PhD students for the academic year 2019/20, at locations across the UK.
Training applied asthma researchers of the future
Our Postgraduate Training Programme aims to enrol the most exceptional candidates and nurture them to become the next generation of leaders in world-class applied asthma research. Our PhD opportunities offer excellent training, networking and future career opportunities.
Be part of a connected network
A key feature of these studentships is the opportunity to be part of a UK-wide Centre offering unsurpassed networking opportunities with leading UK applied asthma researchers. Students will be based in a ‘home’ University, but will have at least one supervisor from a partner institution at the Centre.
What our current students say…
Our current group of PhD students form a vibrant and active group. Here’s what some of them have to say about their experience on the programme:
“Helped to shape the researcher that I am today”
“Helped me start to build a research network that will benefit me with my future career”
“Access to the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research PPI group has been a major benefit to me and my research”
“Provided many opportunities to network and collaborate”
“The training platform gives a focus to the PhD which others don’t seem to have”
“Provided access to world-leading asthma expertise”
